A Collin County carrier, not a remote recruiter
A lot of CDL job ads in North Texas come from carriers headquartered somewhere else. Maas Logistics is local. Our home base is in Melissa, on US-75 between McKinney and Anna, where SH-121 meets the highway. Drivers in McKinney, Anna, Van Alstyne, Princeton, Prosper and Celina live a short drive away.
Being local matters when you're hiring on. You're talking to the carrier itself, not a third-party recruiter: Sergio, who calls you after you apply, is the Maas Logistics hiring manager. You can check our record on FMCSA under USDOT 3179194 and read about Maas Logistics LLC before you apply.
The US-75 corridor and where the freight goes
US-75 is the spine of Collin County. South, it runs through McKinney, Allen and Plano into Dallas as Central Expressway, linking to I-635, I-30, I-45 and I-35E. North, it runs through Anna, Van Alstyne and Sherman toward Denison and the Oklahoma line. US-380 crosses it in McKinney for east–west trips, and SH-121 heads southwest toward Frisco, DFW Airport and Fort Worth.
From there, Maas runs dry van and reefer full truckload across the 48 states. Lane examples that start close to home include Melissa to Houston, McKinney to Phoenix and Sherman to Chicago. Our Melissa TX freight shipping page covers the shipper side of the same area.
Living in Collin County and driving OTR
Collin County is one of the fastest-growing parts of Texas, and many CDL drivers here live in newer neighborhoods in McKinney, Melissa, Anna and Princeton. Traffic on US-75 and SH-121 through Allen and McKinney can be heavy at rush hour, and Melissa sits north of the worst of it. For an OTR driver, a carrier home base on the north side of the metroplex can mean less time in Dallas traffic at the start and end of a trip. Ask Sergio how trip starts and finishes work for drivers in your town when he calls.
Company drivers start at 50+ CPM dry van, 60+ CPM reefer. Owner-operators keep 87–90% of gross.
Pay and the work
Company drivers start at 50+ CPM on dry van and 60+ CPM on reefer. Dry van is general freight in a 53-foot enclosed trailer. Reefer is temperature-controlled freight, which means pre-cooling the trailer, holding set points and keeping temperature records. See reefer CDL driver jobs or dry van company driver jobs for what each involves.
These are OTR jobs, so plan on running across the 48 states rather than local routes around McKinney. If you own a truck, our owner-operator program lets owner-operators keep 87–90% of gross while leased on to a carrier based right in Melissa.
Who should apply
These jobs suit Class A CDL drivers in McKinney, Melissa, Anna and nearby Collin and Grayson County towns who want OTR dry van or reefer work with a local, asset-based carrier. If you're weighing a Dallas or Fort Worth carrier against one in your own backyard, it's worth a conversation. Drivers on the west side of the metroplex can see our CDL jobs in Fort Worth page.
